Sketches: Pretty Girl
I’m starting a new section on the blog called “Sketches,” which will include not only sketches, but musical snippets, code fragments, short ideas, and any other creative nuggets that cross my brain.
Today, we’ve got a little experiment. I have never tried to draw a pretty girl, so I put stylus to tablet and came up with this beauty. I’d most certainly appreciate feedback, if you would be so kind.

Nice. I like how line thickness varies.

Thank you. I illustrated it in Expression 3 and the line thickness is controlled by the Felt Pen stroke.

Best bits: The lips and eyes! Very nice use of colour on the lips too. Wish I could do 2D stuff like that

Well, since she is apparently engaged, she’s pretty much off the market and her prettiness is moot. I’ve got a girlfriend anyway, so… B-)
Seriously, though, she looks like she is someone you could easily and drastically underestimate. You see her as pretty, normal, and not as the possible undercover agent she might be.
Or maybe I’ve just been reading too much game development things today to not think about how this image applies to games.

wow this drawing is amazing. I have been looking for something exactly that style for my bedroom. It is just beautiful. I love the style. Its not real basic and its not real complicated either. Just my style.
